Board of Trusties

We are excited to share that Namaste Charleston is now a tax-exempt entity under IRC section 501(c)(3) Nonprofit charitable organization in 2022.
Our organization has six Board of Trustees and two Board Advisors to execute our philanthropic agenda.

Charleston has been my home away from home. I have seen the exponential growth of the Indian community in Charleston and am blessed to be part of this vibrant community. I am an advocate for promoting Indian culture and art. Being an active participant in our local Indian organization, IAGC (Indian association of greater Charleston), and serving on its executive committee, helped form some close friendships and camaraderie within the community. While taking a break from my professional life as pharmacist, to raise a family, I utilized my skills and knowledge to volunteer as a pharmacist at a local charitable Medical Clinic. I found this to be a fulfilling experience. I have two beautiful kids, who always remind me to count on my blessings and a supportive husband who always encourages me to do better. As a core member of Namaste Charleston, an online community group, I am very happy that we are able to provide a unique platform that leverages the power of social media to bring the community together. I am excited about our online community growing into a non-profit organization and being able to help the underserved and needy. “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well”- Ralph Waldo Emerson
